? Keep the spacebar depressed while the

system is booting. This causes the

MediaRacer® Service Software main

menu to be displayed.

? Select option 1 from the main menu to

display the system settings menu. Verify

that the Console I/O value is defined as

Enable. Enable value means that access to

all MediaRacer® Service software

options and the Application Log Screen

are enabled and visible.

THE RED LED IS CONSTANTLY LIT

Fault description:

After the MediaRacer® 100 unit has been connected to the power source, the red FLT

LED stays lit.

1. Connect a computer with a built -in HyperTerminal application to the

MediaRacer® 100 unit. Activate the MediaRacer® Service Software main

menu and verify that:

? Operation mode is set to Application.

? The BIST value is set to Disable.

2. Reboot the MediaRacer® 100 unit.

3. After rebooting the unit, verify that initialization messages are displayed on

screen and that the “Station” prompt is displayed upon completion of the

initialization process.
